Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Will Dearborn (ranked 3539 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Irvin (ranked 2288 p4p, 269 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Paul Irvin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Will Dearborn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Paul Irvin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Irvin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dearborn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dearborn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dearborn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Irvin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dearborn has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Irvin is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dearborn is defending well though. Irvin let's go of the attempt for now.

Irvin pushes a forearm under Dearborn's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dearborn is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
