Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilner Fatiman (ranked 3288 p4p, 288 weight class) and Caol Dos (ranked 3295 p4p, 289 weight class). Fatiman comes to the cage accompanied by Zion Train. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilner Fatiman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caol Dos!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatiman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dos is fending him off so far but Fatiman persists. Nope, Dos circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dos! But no joy.
Fatiman goes for a double leg but Dos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dos continues to drive forward.
Dos looks to land a body kick but Fatiman moved away.
Wilner Fatiman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dos takes the fight into the clinch.

Fatiman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dos swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilner Fatiman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fatiman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dos throws out the jab.

Fatiman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dos manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Fatiman keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dos has a couple of punches blocked by Fatiman.

Fatiman landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Fatiman is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fatiman to the mat. Fatiman regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Fatiman seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Fatiman throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Dos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fatiman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dos has managed to get both his arms back between Fatiman's legs - danger averted.

Dos wants to take a breather but Fatiman is having none of it.

Dos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fatiman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dos passes Fatiman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dos landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fatiman wants to control but Dos is keeping busy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dos wants to pass the guard but Fatiman is defending well.

Fatiman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Fatiman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dos manages to get himself to full guard.

Fatiman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fatiman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dos's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fatiman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well, if Fatiman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fatiman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fatiman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fatiman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fatiman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dos wants to sweep here but Fatiman controlling him for the moment.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Fatiman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dos tries to avoid it but Fatiman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dos to the ground. Dos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilner Fatiman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fatiman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dos's waist but Dos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fatiman off to one side.
A nice side step and Dos releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Fatiman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Fatiman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dos has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fatiman but great work by Dos.

Dos is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fatiman gets his way!

Fatiman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dos can do to turn this around?
