Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mokonzo MBaku (ranked 4271 p4p, 355 weight class) and Sheer Rooj (ranked 6810 p4p, 489 weight class). Rooj has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rooj tries to clinch there but MBaku circles away.
Sheer Rooj seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rooj looks winded!
Rooj gets tackled into the cage by MBaku. MBaku maintains the clinch.
MBaku lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rooj backwards.
MBaku lands with a short shot to the head.
Rooj goes for a takedown attempt but MBaku pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
MBaku rushes Rooj and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

MBaku lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rooj backwards.
MBaku lands a shoulder strike.
MBaku lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

MBaku creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rooj with a big uppercut! Rooj tries to clinch up but MBaku pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rooj to the mat! Rooj covers up and MBaku unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mokonzo MBaku!
