PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gyukosho Fujimoto (ranked 1394 p4p, 136 weight class) and Mark Borrego (ranked 2585 p4p, 242 weight class). Borrego comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amongst the greats -by FRANK ZAPPA kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Borrego was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Borrego!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borrego misses with a straight right.
Fujimoto slips under a jab.
Borrego misses with a hook to the body
and Fujimoto counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Borrego.
Fujimoto ducks under a wild hook from Borrego.
Fujimoto connects with a looping right hand.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Fujimoto and Borrego goes tumbling to the canvas! Fujimoto follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Borrego wants to get back to full guard.
Borrego trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Fujimoto stands up from mount. Strange move.
Borrego misses with a looping left.
Borrego throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fujimoto counters with a huge left! Borrego is in big trouble! He's backing up but Fujimoto isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Borrego from any more damage. A dominating finish by Fujimoto!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gyukosho Fujimoto!
A relieved looking Gyukosho Fujimoto thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Mark Borrego stepped up to the mic, saying 'I AM my own worst enemy I drank way too much right before the fight.....drunken boxing didn't work...im off to AA.... '.
