Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Newton (ranked 233 p4p, 29 weight class) and Achab Denis (ranked 544 p4p, 68 weight class). Denis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Can't be touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Achab Denis!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton drives through with a takedown into guard.
Denis keeping full guard, as Newton tries to pass.
Newton has gone for a leg lock! Denis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Newton's guard.
Denis wants to pass the guard but Newton is keeping the position.
Newton trying to keep a closed guard but Denis is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Denis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Let's hope that Denis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Denis is fighting to break Newton's control of his arms but Newton is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Newton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Denis manages to get himself to full guard.
Newton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Denis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Newton is on top in guard.
Denis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Newton's guard.
Denis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Newton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Denis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Newton moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Denis has worked his arm free - good work by Denis!

Denis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Newton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Denis is now in Newton's guard. A big mistake from Newton there, giving up the dominant position!

Denis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Denis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Newton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Newton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Denis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Denis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Denis!

Bill Newton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Newton tries to get to full guard but Denis has control of the leg.
Denis is taking a breather. Newton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Denis is thwarting Newton's attempts to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Newton gets back to full guard.
Denis postures up.
Denis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Newton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bill Newton will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Denis misses with an attempted mid kick.
Denis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Denis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Denis throws a body kick that misses.
Newton has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Denis.
Denis throws out a loose jab but Newton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Newton doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Denis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Newton thinking.
Denis throws a leg kick but Newton checks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Newton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Denis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Denis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Newton was well out of range. Poor timing from Denis.
Denis keeps Newton at a distance using the push kick.

Denis fakes the leg kick and cracks Newton in the body.
Newton connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Newton moves in looking to clinch but Denis pushes him off.

Denis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A head kick by Denis misses
and Newton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Newton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Denis is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Newton.
Newton is being controlled here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Denis throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Newton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
Achab Denis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Denis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Achab Denis tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
