Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Brutus Kowalski (ranked 4272 p4p, 557 weight class) and Melchizedek Halo (ranked 3947 p4p, 526 weight class). Kowalski's entrance music is Pantera - Fucking Hostile. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brutus Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Melchizedek Halo!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski blocks a head kick by Halo.

and Kowalski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Halo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kowalski's head.
Kowalski looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Halo tests Kowalski's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Halo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kowalski drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Halo digs a good body shot into Kowalski's ribs.
Halo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Halo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kowalski.

Melchizedek Halo seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Kowalski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kowalski looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Halo looks to land a left hand but Kowalski moved out of range nicely.

Kowalski stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Halo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Halo throws a lazy right hand but Kowalski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Halo cracks Kowalski with an open hand slap.
Halo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Halo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Kowalski counter with a right hand.

Kowalski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Halo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Halo connects with a leg kick. Kowalski looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kowalski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Halo replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kowalski blocks it well.
Kowalski is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Melchizedek Halo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

A quick step to the side and Kowalski tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kowalski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Halo on the side of the head.

and Kowalski counters with a three punch combo that has Halo backing up. Halo nods at Kowalski to acknowledge the strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Melchizedek Halo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Halo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
