Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DeMario Valdez (ranked 4354 p4p, 175 weight class) and Alexander Volg Zangief (ranked 3553 p4p, 132 weight class). Valdez comes to the cage accompanied by Era - Ameno. Zangief is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The wolf's hunt by-WOLFSLAIR. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DeMario Valdez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alexander Volg Zangief!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief misses with an uppercut
and Valdez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Zangief throws a right hand that misses
and Valdez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Zangief is rocked!
Valdez throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zangief is still on wobbly legs! Can Valdez finish him?
Zangief throws a hook but Valdez avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Zangief misses its intended target.
Zangief seems to have recovered his senses.
Alexander Volg Zangief seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zangief avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Zangief misses with a hook
and Zangief takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice defenses there by Valdez.
Valdez is looking to counter punch.
Zangief uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Valdez.
Zangief will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Valdez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Zangief has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zangief scores with the left hand. Valdez knows he should have avoided that one.

Zangief closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Zangief throws a hook but Valdez blocks it.
Valdez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Valdez throws a lazy right hand but Zangief sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Valdez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Zangief throws a combination that misses
and Valdez counters with a big right hand! Oh Zangief is in trouble here! Valdez follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DeMario Valdez!
A relieved looking DeMario Valdez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Alexander Volg Zangief stepped up to the mic, saying 'Lucky BS I vant rematch...'.
