The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lappers lands a right hook to the body.
Myres goes for a double leg but Lappers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lappers continues to drive forward.
Lappers lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Myres shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lappers but Lappers pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Myres closes the distance and clinches up with Lappers, looking for a takedown. Myres pushes Lappers against the cage but Lappers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Myres takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lappers lands a nice hook to Myres's body. Myres takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lappers turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lappers manages to end up in side control.
