The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keene keeps the fight on the outside.

McDonald has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Keene digs a good body shot into McDonald's ribs.
McDonald looks to score with a jab to the body but Keene is just out of range.
McDonald is looking to clinch.

McDonald dives in and scores a takedown into Keene's guard.

Keene scrambles and gets back to his feet.

McDonald on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Keene lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Keene looks to throw the jab but McDonald is out of range.
McDonald is looking to clinch but Keene is avoiding it.

McDonald clinches up with Keene and pushes him back against the cage.
Keene misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McDonald stalling in the clinch.

McDonald struggles to land a body shot inside as Keene controls his hands.
Keene misses with a punch on the inside.
Keene is pressed up against the cage. McDonald has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Keene down to the mat. Keene avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
McDonald tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Keene manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McDonald misses with a takedown
and Keene counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Keene displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McDonald throws out the jab.
McDonald throws a leg kick which misses Keene's front leg but catches the back leg as Keene tries to avoid it.
McDonald takes one to the side of the head.

and Keene counters with a stiff right hand.
