Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blue Cup (ranked 1428 p4p, 173 weight class) and Klas Horn (ranked 2176 p4p, 249 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cup scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A leg kick checked by Cup.

Horn throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Horn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cup has a takedown stuffed.

Horn on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Horn throws an overhand right that lands on Cup's shoulder, as Cup tries to avoid the shot.
Cup slips a straight right by Horn.
Cup throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Horn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cup looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cup misses with an uppercut
and Horn counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Cup feints and as Horn raises his hands in defense, Cup changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horn looking for a sweep. Not yet Horn, not yet.
Cup trying to control but Horn is working from the bottom.
Horn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cup is one step ahead there.

Cup drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Horn manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cup has Horn in his guard.

Horn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Cup working for submissions but it's allowed Horn to get to half guard.
Horn scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Cup wants to control but Horn is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Horn is just content to waste time from the top position. Cup takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Horn stands and throws Cup's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Horn sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cup is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Horn tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
My spies in LOD Gym of the Gods inform me that Horn has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Horn looks up at the clock and then as Cup takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Horn smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Horn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cup has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cup taking a bit of punishment here - Horn scoring with strikes.
Horn creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cup sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Horn with the ground and pound but Cup regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Horn drops an elbow to the side of Cup's head.
Cup wants to get back to his feet.
Horn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cup defending well though.

Cup keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Cup is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Horn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horn throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cup to regain full guard.
Cup has Horn pulled in close to control his posture.
Horn is looking to pass into half guard but Cup pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cup is in guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cup trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Horn manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Horn trying to control the position from guard on top but Cup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klas Horn dominated that round.
That's time! Cup's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Horn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Horn lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Blue Cup has been cut.
Horn takes one to the chin there.
Horn pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cup ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Horn is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Horn moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Cup is rocked!
