Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takahashi Ryu (ranked 6208 p4p, 586 weight class) and Ramzan Khabibov (ranked 7651 p4p, 646 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ramzan Khabibov!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khabibov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Khabibov showed some decent athleticism there.
Ryu throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Khabibov manages to pass to side control.
Ryu is looking for a sweep.
Ryu taking punishment in the form of punches.
Khabibov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ryu keeps working.
Ryu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khabibov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ryu takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khabibov cracks Ryu with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Ryu is trying to improve his position.
Ryu is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Khabibov off and has taken his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khabibov wants to get back to his feet.

Ryu is looking for a choke. Khabibov gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Khabibov manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khabibov distracts Ryu with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Ryu has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Khabibov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ryu has tightened it up now! Khabibov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
