PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Handleman (ranked 1345 p4p, 204 weight class) and Carl Moore (ranked 2689 p4p, 373 weight class). Handleman comes into the arena with Pride FC Theme blaring out of the sound system. Moore is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sad Man's Tongue by Volbeat. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Handleman misses with a hook. Moore ducked under it nicely.
Handleman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Handleman slips a jab from Moore.

Handleman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Moore is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Moore keeps trying to improve his position.
Moore moves into full guard.
Moore looking to control.
Handleman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Handleman is concentrating on defense, preventing Moore from advancing position.

Moore controlling the pace.
Moore stops Handleman from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moore prevents Handleman from improving his position.
Handleman won't allow Moore to pass to mount.
Moore thows a huge punch but Handleman dodges it nicely.

Handleman is desperately trying to improve his position but Moore has a good base and remains in mount.
Handleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Moore sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Moore thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Handleman is rocked!

It looks like Kelvin Handleman has been cut.
Handleman is trying desperately to improve position.
Moore has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Handleman's face.
Oh Handleman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kelvin Handleman's cut is getting worse.
Moore postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Handleman in real trouble here! The ref calls for Handleman to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

During a confident post fight interview, Carl Moore thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Kelvin Handleman had this to say: 'I'm a fucking man and no one will ever question that because I am a man before I am a fighter and to have some pussy that sits behind a computer all day question my manhood pisses me off...'.
