Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anatoly Gorbachenko (ranked 1656 p4p, 257 weight class) and Gaultier Girard (ranked 559 p4p, 91 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Anatoly Gorbachenko has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anatoly Gorbachenko seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Girard gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gorbachenko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gorbachenko.
Gorbachenko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Girard counters with a nice kick to the body.
Girard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gorbachenko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gorbachenko fails to land with a series of punches.
Girard now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Gorbachenko misses with a hook
and Girard counters with a stiff right hand.
Gorbachenko moves out of range as Girard strikes.
Gorbachenko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Girard sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Girard throws out a counter right but Gorbachenko avoids it with no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Girard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Girard defending well as Gorbachenko loads up on a big left hand.
Girard moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gorbachenko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Girard.
A nice combination there by Gorbachenko.
Gorbachenko misses with a wild body shot.
Girard appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Girard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Girard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gorbachenko's knee momentarily.

Girard misses with a kick to the body.
Girard slips a straight right by Gorbachenko.
Girard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gorbachenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gorbachenko is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Girard lands a glancing blow to the side of Gorbachenko's head.
Girard misses with a few strikes there.
Girard blocks a jab.
Girard throws a nice outside leg kick.
Girard slips under a jab.
Gorbachenko misses with a right hand
and Girard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Girard moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Girard takes a swing at Gorbachenko's ribcage but misses.
Gorbachenko misses with a double jab.

Gorbachenko looks to land a combination but Girard avoids it well.
Gorbachenko moves out of range of the strikes.
Gorbachenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Girard misses with a low kick as Gorbachenko jumps back.

and Girard counters with a straight right hand.
Girard lands a big right hand that sends Gorbachenko crashing to the mat! Girard stays standing though and waves Gorbachenko back to his feet!

and Girard counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Oh Gorbachenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gorbachenko is breathing heavily.
Girard lands a brutal uppercut that launches Gorbachenko off his feet! Gorbachenko tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gaultier Girard!
After the fight, Gaultier Girard was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
