Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Rigidy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
34 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lucjan Anielski!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anielski moves into range and clinches up with Rigidy.
Anielski scores with a shot to the side of Rigidy's head.
Anielski creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Rigidy's defenses.
Rigidy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anielski throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rigidys head.
Rigidy wants to break free but Anielski has control.
Rigidy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A looping hook to the body misses from Anielski. Rigidy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rigidy quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Rigidy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rigidy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Anielski has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rigidy is landing a low percentage of strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oooooh!!! Anielski has knocked Rigidy down with a huge combo! Anielski steps away and waves a wobbly Rigidy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Rigidy is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anielski circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Rigidy to the canvas! Rigidy doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Anielski keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Lucjan Anielski thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
