Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Gervais (ranked 531 p4p, 65 weight class) and Nick Morris (ranked 1551 p4p, 197 weight class). Gervais comes to the cage accompanied by Arcade Fire - Ready to Start. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gervais scores with a sloppy right hand. Morris should have avoided that one.
Morris misses with an uppercut
letting Gervais counter with a right hand.
Morris bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gervais's head backwards.
Gervais fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morris manages to avoid it.
Gervais misses with a looping right.
Gervais seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Morris delivers a nice body kick.
Gervais's corner calls for a 1-2. Gervais obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Morris needs to keep his hands up - Gervais had a free shot at his head there.
Gervais misses with a straight right.
Gervais throws a jab when Morris was well out of range.
Gervais throws a hook but Morris avoids it easily.
Morris thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gervais swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Morris counters with a leg kick.
Gervais throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gervais loads up on a big right hand but Morris slips the punch.
Gervais tries to close the distance and clinch but Morris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gervais moves out of range as Morris throws a body kick.

Morris on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Morris scores with a jab. Gervais acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Samuel Gervais has been cut.
Morris has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Gervais misses the shot to the body.
Gervais fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morris manages to avoid it.
Morris was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Gervais misses with an uppercut
and Morris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gervais scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Gervais forces Morris back against the cage and clinches.

Gervais pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gervais walks straight into a right hand from Morris - that's dropped him! Morris jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gervais from any more punishment! Gervais complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
