The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroev avoids the head kick by Destroyer.
Stroev is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Destroyer clinches with his opponent.
Stroev looking to stall.
Stroev tries to land knees in the clinch but Destroyer avoids the damage to the body.

Stroev pulls guard effortlessly.

Stroev is working an open guard so Destroyer takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Destroyer closes the distance and clinches.
Stroev is trying to pull guard but Destroyer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Stroev can't break the clinch.
Destroyer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stroevs head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Destroyer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Destroyer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Destroyer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stroev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Destroyer stands and steps away. Stroev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Stroev lands a nice hook to Destroyer's body. Destroyer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Stroev tries for a takedown but Destroyer circles away easily
and Destroyer counters with a series of strikes. Stroev will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Destroyer!

Stroev is rocked!

Stroev tries to keep at a distance but Destroyer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stroev is still on wobbly legs! Can Destroyer finish him?
A short right hand to the side of the head by Destroyer.

Stroev is fighting off a takedown attempt but Destroyer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stroev to the mat. Stroev regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Destroyer is standing up over Stroev. Stroev looks to escape but Destroyer dives into side control.

Destroyer works to advance to full mount. Stroev defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
A big strike lands for Destroyer! That's really hurt Stroev and he's turned his back - Destroyer keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Destroyer jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
