Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Barbosa (ranked 3741 p4p, 378 weight class) and Ben Turner (ranked 1008 p4p, 129 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ben Turner!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Barbosa.
A punch lands to the side of Turner 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Barbosa pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Turner takes a kick to the side of the head.
Turner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Barbosa sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Turner lands a leg kick that knocks Barbosa off balance momentarily.
Barbosa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Turner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barbosa manages to avoid it.
Barbosa throws a looping overhand right but Turner ducks down to avoid it.
Barbosa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Turners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Turner fails in his attempt to clinch.
Turner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Daniel Barbosa has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turner moves into range and clinches up with Barbosa.
Turner has a couple of punches blocked by Barbosa.
Barbosa misses with a punch on the inside.
Turner lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Barbosa.
Barbosa tries a body shot but Turner blocks it.

Barbosa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Turner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Turner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barbosa throws out the jab.
Turner moves out of range as Barbosa throws a body kick.

Barbosa gets tackled into the cage by Turner. Turner maintains the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Barbosa takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Barbosa instigates a clinch.
Turner lands a shoulder strike.
Barbosa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Barbosa manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Barbosa drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barbosa misses with a hook to the ribs.
Turner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Turner looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Turner lands a body shot.
Turner is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Barbosa is keeping busy.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Turner.

Barbosa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Some wild striking there from Barbosa.
Daniel Barbosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Turner has managed to clinch.

Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Good leg kick by Barbosa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbosa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Barbosa moves into the clinch successfully.
Barbosa lands a hook to the side of the head.

Barbosa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barbosa swats away the attempt to clinch by Turner.

Turner moves in looking to clinch but Barbosa pushes him off.
Barbosa is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Turner.
Barbosa misses with a takedown attempt - Turner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A little jabbing left from Turner on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Turner is looking to clinch but Barbosa is avoiding it.
Turner stuffs the takedown attempt from Barbosa. Barbosa gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Barbosa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turner checks the leg kick.

and Turner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Turner avoids a punch combination nicely.
A decent looking cross lands there for Barbosa.
Barbosa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Barbosa throws a series of punches but Turner avoids them all with ease.

Turner's coach down at Touch Of Death Combat Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turner's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Barbosa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barbosa wants to clinch up but Turner keeps it at a distance.
Turner scores with a sloppy right hand. Barbosa should have avoided that one.

Some bone on bone action there as Turner checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Barbosa takes one on the button.
Turner tries to clinch there but Barbosa circles away.
Barbosa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Turner with a nice cross.

Barbosa is rocked!

Turner clinches up against the cage.
Oh Barbosa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Turner lands a big right hand that drops Barbosa! The killer instinct kicks in and Turner finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Turner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Turner!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Ben Turner waved his t-shirt featuring Red Light Coffeeshop's logo in front of the cameras.
