The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budo lands a jab to Shoemaker's midsection.

The crowd cheers as Budo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shoemaker doesn't seem phased though.
Budo connects with a right hand. Shoemaker shakes it off.

Shoemaker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Budo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Shoemaker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shoemaker has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shoemaker there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Budo creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Shoemaker's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Shoemaker drops to his knees and Budo pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Thay Budo is the new light heavyweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Thay Budo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Jordon Shoemaker was interviewed post fight and said 'JAG 4 Lyfe'.
