Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

27 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Smith!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitakaka throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Pitakaka misses with a low kick.
Pitakaka fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Smith checks it well.
Smith raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Pitakaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Pitakaka throws a leg kick
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Smith blocks a head kick by Pitakaka.
Smith unleashes a big counter combination but Pitakaka bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Pitakaka scores with a push kick.
Pitakaka looks to land a body kick but Smith moved away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Smith! But no joy.
Pitakaka throws a head kick that Smith semi-blocks.
Pitakaka throws a half hearted mid kick.
Pitakaka throws a sloppy head kick
and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A lazy body kick from Pitakaka
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pitakaka went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pitakaka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smith.
Pitakaka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pitakaka throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Pitakaka lands with a kick to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Pitakaka throws a sloppy head kick
and Smith counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Smith looks at the referee who does nothing so Smith lands a crushing right that sends Pitakaka to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Smith!
