Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshi Hijikata (ranked 1175 p4p, 149 weight class) and Walter Lang (ranked 2088 p4p, 252 weight class). Lang has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lang is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hijikata had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

That was a close round but I would say that Toshi Hijikata will probably get the nod.

Hijikata is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Lang on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Lang with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hijikata to score with a decent uppercut.

Hijikata has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
