Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Iron Tyson (ranked 8 p4p, 2 weight class) and Volya Nikolaev (ranked 91 p4p, 14 weight class). Iron Tyson comes to the cage accompanied by Slaughterouse - Party. Nikolaev has chosen Fever as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikolaev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Iron Tyson's head backwards.
Iron Tyson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Iron Tyson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Nikolaev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Iron Tyson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nikolaev wants to control but Iron Tyson is keeping him busy.

Nikolaev tries for a kimura but Iron Tyson is defending well.
Iron Tyson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Nikolaev is looking for a sweep. Iron Tyson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Iron Tyson tries to stand and escape but Nikolaev is controlling the position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Nikolaev regains full guard. Nicely done.

Iron Tyson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Iron Tyson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nikolaev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Iron Tyson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Iron Tyson wants to control from the top but Nikolaev keeps moving.

Nikolaev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Iron Tyson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nikolaev throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Iron Tyson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Nikolaev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Iron Tyson defends it easily.

Nikolaev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Iron Tyson is aware though and is defending well.

Nikolaev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Iron Tyson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Iron Tyson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Iron Tyson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nikolaev is proving hard to escape from.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Iron Tyson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nikolaev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Iron Tyson is working away from the top position though.

Nikolaev makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nikolaev.
Iron Tyson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nikolaev is looking to cinch up a triangle. Iron Tyson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nikolaev's body to avoid the submission. Nikolaev has instead reached around Iron Tyson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nikolaev arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A very excited looking Volya Nikolaev rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Shogun Iron Tyson had this to say: 'Another garbage decision, of course.'.
