Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Cliff Rigano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 49 - 49 - 2, fighting out of London, Paul Poulter!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulter swings for the body but Rigano moves out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rigano.

Rigano swings around for an armbar but Poulter sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rigano's guard.
Poulter wants to control from the top but Rigano keeps moving.

Rigano has an active guard here but Poulter has managed to pass into half guard.
Rigano wants to improve his position but Poulter is controlling well.
Poulter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rigano works his way to full guard. Good work.
Poulter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Rigano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Poulter defends well.

Rigano had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poulter defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rigano is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Poulter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rigano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Poulter has managed to get both his arms back between Rigano's legs - danger averted.

Poulter has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rigano to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Poulter is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rigano pulls down on the head and he's put Poulter to sleep! This one is all over!

An out of breath Cliff Rigano thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
