Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fausto Carsara (ranked 1760 p4p, 227 weight class) and Vilkas Nuutti (ranked 2922 p4p, 338 weight class). Carsara comes to the cage accompanied by E'sord Luché. Vilkas Nuutti will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carsara lands a nice shot that snaps Nuutti's head back.

It looks like Vilkas Nuutti has been cut.
Good leg kick by Nuutti there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Carsara's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nuutti under the eye.
Carsara thuds a left hand into Nuutti's body.
A clash of legs there as Carsara blocks the low kick.
Nuutti wants to land a leg kick but Carsara is out of range.
Carsara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nuutti circles away quickly and effectively.
Carsara lands a nice shot to the body.
Nuutti lands a glancing blow to the side of Carsara's head.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nuutti, right into the meat.
Carsara throws a series of punches but Nuutti moves out of range.

Nuutti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nuutti scoring well with a low kick there.
Carsara throws an overhand right that lands on Nuutti's shoulder, as Nuutti tries to avoid the shot.
Carsara throws a nice looking combination but Nuutti bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carsara jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carsara backing away here, and Nuutti unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Nuutti is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carsara.
Nuutti fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Carsara has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Carsara counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nuutti won't be happy with that.

Nice shot lands for Nuutti.
Nuutti misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carsara connects with a body shot that sends Nuutti's belly button to the back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nuutti can do anything to dispel that myth.
Carsara in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Nuutti is still in real trouble! Can Carsara finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carsara postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Nuutti's head off the mat! Nuutti is out! He's out! Carsara jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!

Fausto Carsara decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
