The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Applegate takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Applegate connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kelly misses with a hook
and Applegate counters with a good low kick that Kelly was not able to check.

Applegate paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Applegate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kelly.
Applegate throws a right and a left that Kelly avoids nicely.
Kelly rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Applegate connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kelly throws a jab when Applegate was well out of range.
Applegate avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Applegate ducks under a wild hook from Kelly.
Kelly throws a big shot that misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kelly throws a shot from downtown. Applegate moves away and avoids it.
Kelly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Applegate.
Kelly is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Applegate throws a head kick but Kelly moves out of range.
We've been informed that Applegate has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Applegate uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kelly has time to react.
Kelly is rocked!
Applegate cracks Kelly on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kelly falls backwards against the cage. Applegate follows up with more strikes that drop Kelly to his knees. Applegate keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kelly! This one is all over!
