Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moe Bang (ranked 2483 p4p, 276 weight class) and Hamish Reid (ranked 1389 p4p, 169 weight class). Moe Bang had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hamish Reid!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reid to the mat! Reid manages to get full guard.

Reid working for a triangle but Bang defends it easily.
Bang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Bang avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reid trying to keep a closed guard but Bang is proving a slippery customer.
Bang postures up in Reid's guard and throws a big left but Reid blocks it.

Bang throws the left hand but Reid avoids the punch easily.
A nice side step and Reid releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Reid feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bang's calf.

Bang throws an elbow that misses. Reid uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bang's guard. Nice move by Reid!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reid sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bang's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bang wants to get back to full guard but Reid has mounted him!
Reid unloads with some shots from mount but Bang bucks and avoids them well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bang is controlling Reid's posture.
Bang wants to improve his position but instead Reid has moved into half guard.

Reid thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bang's head.
Bang won't allow Reid to pass to mount.

Reid takes a little break here. Bang wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bang changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Reid fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

and Reid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bang looks to throw the jab but Reid is out of range.
Bang misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bang lands with an overhand left.
Bang fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reid looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A punch combination from Bang misses.
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reid as he jumps to the side.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bang takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bang trying to control the position from guard on top but Reid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That was a close second round but I would say that Moe Bang will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bang throws a combination that misses
and Reid counters with a head kick. That will keep Bang thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

It looks like Moe Bang has been cut.

Bang tries to bum rush Reid with a series of wild strikes but Reid uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bang takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Reid lands a front kick.

Reid throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bang stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Reid lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Reid cracks Bang with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bang tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Reid pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bang is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
