Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rikkard Hanson (ranked 3120 p4p, 352 weight class) and Baby Boy Harris (ranked 16094 p4p, 677 weight class). Baby Boy Harris will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws a head kick that Hanson semi-blocks.
Harris slips under a jab from Hanson.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hanson.
Hanson misses with a hook.
Harris throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hanson.
Hanson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harris.

Harris shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hanson eats them both and turns towards Harris to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Harris fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hanson on the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hanson moves away.
Harris lands a nice hook to Hanson's body. Hanson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hanson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hanson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hanson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harris sprawls well initially but Hanson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Harris is staying active underneath Hanson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hanson shoots for a double leg takedown but Harris sprawls well. He's pushed Hanson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Hanson lands a huge takedown. Harris is out but the ref is slow to react and Hanson lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Harris lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

In his post fight interview, Rikkard Hanson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
