Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aloysius Wiremu (ranked 3395 p4p, 395 weight class) and Carter Martin (ranked 5471 p4p, 539 weight class). Wiremu comes to the cage accompanied by Billy Joel - The River of Dreams. Aloysius Wiremu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carter Martin!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a lazy right hand but Wiremu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It appears Wiremu was looking to counter with a kick there.
Wiremu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Martin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wiremu tries to clinch up but Martin circles away and keeps his distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wiremu. Martin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wiremu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Martin. Martin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wiremu misses with a hook. Martin ducked under it nicely.
Wiremu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Martin gets tackled into the cage by Wiremu. Wiremu maintains the clinch.
Martin misses with a hook from the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Martin as the two fighters clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Martin.
Martin blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Wiremu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Martin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Martin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wiremu takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Martin swings for the body but Wiremu moves out of range.

Martin scores with a spinning back kick!
Martin misses with the combination.
Wiremu scores with a kick to the body.
Martin throws a leg kick that is checked
and Wiremu counters with a solid body kick.
Wiremu is looking to slow Martin down with leg kicks.
Martin drops his hands momentarily and Wiremu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Martin lands the left hand.
Martin avoids the head kick by Wiremu.
Martin throws a big shot that misses.
Martin throws a right hand that misses
and Wiremu counters with a nice body shot.
Martin looks winded!

Wiremu lands a brutal head kick. Martin looks out on his feet and Wiremu throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
