ORC Submission Grappling 5 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tat Moh (ranked 3644 p4p, 372 weight class) and Jamezdin Shraf (ranked 2906 p4p, 299 weight class). Shraf has chosen Road To Glory as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jamezdin Shraf was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 4 losses; Tat Moh! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Jamezdin Shraf!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Moh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shraf sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've been told by Moh's head coaches at Ramirez School Of Excellence that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shraf's guard.

Shraf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Moh pushes down on Shraf's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Moh is looking to advance position but Shraf won't allow it.

Moh seems to be working for a kimura but Shraf defends the submission attempt.
Shraf wants to get back to full guard.

Moh pushes down on Shraf's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Shraf is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Moh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Moh's back!

Shraf has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Moh has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Moh is looking to improve his position but Shraf isn't that keen on the idea.

Shraf wants to control the pace but Moh is squirming around nicely.
Shraf is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Moh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Moh has given up his back here. Will Shraf look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Moh won't enjoy being in this position. Shraf looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Moh is tapping - it's over boys! Shraf picks up the submission victory!
