Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robo Pope (ranked 15468 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Starling (ranked 8115 p4p, 0 weight class). Pope comes to the cage accompanied by Ghost - Monstrance Clock. Jackson Starling will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Pope.
Pope has been working on his boxing with his coaches at NYC Alpha (Conditioning and Sparring Gym) in the buildup to the fight.
Pope looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Starling is looking to clinch but Pope is avoiding it.
Pope misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Starling has managed to clinch.
Starling pushes Pope back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Pope wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Starling has him pressed against the cage.
Pope has had enough of the clinch but Starling keeps him there for the moment.
Starling tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Starling tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pope smiles and moves away.
Starling forces Pope back against the cage and clinches.
Starling tries to pull guard but Pope holds him up against the cage and eventually Starling drops back down to his feet.
Robo Pope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Starling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Starling scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Robo Pope's cut is getting worse.
Starling jumps guard but Pope stands there with Starling around his waist. Starling gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Starling working some nice short punches in the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Starling.
Robo Pope's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Starling drops Pope onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Pope is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Pope is rocked!
Starling tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pope smiles and moves away.
Oh Pope is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Starling rushes Pope and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Starling tries to pull guard but Pope forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Starling lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pope backwards.
Starling successfully pulls guard.
Pope has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Starling is proving hard to escape from.
Starling wants to get back to his feet but Pope is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pope stands up from guard. Let's bang!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Starling is defended easily by Pope.
Starling has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pope is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pope has managed to clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Starling.
Starling jumps guard but Pope turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Starling lands a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pope wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Starling has him pressed against the cage.
Pope wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Starling tries to pull guard but Pope forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Pope has had enough of the clinch but Starling keeps him there for the moment.
Starling lands an uppercut.
Starling lands with a right to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Starling.
Starling creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Pope's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Pope drops to his knees and Starling pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jackson Starling!
Robo Pope spoke after the fight, saying 'I hope to be the first MMA fighter to die in the ring. Help make my dream come true.'.
