Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Cerrone (ranked 1131 p4p, 43 weight class) and Cavey Beaumont (ranked 950 p4p, 38 weight class). David Cerrone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cerrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cavey Beaumont!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Beaumont throws a head kick that misses.
Beaumont looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Cerrone throws a predictable looking body shot
and Beaumont counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Beaumont throws a head kick that misses.
Cerrone misses with a kick to the body.
Beaumont displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cerrone throws out the jab.
Cerrone does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Beaumont tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cerrone connects with the punch.


It looks like Cavey Beaumont has been cut.
David Cerrone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cerrone takes a swing at Beaumont's ribcage but misses.
Cerrone missing with a left hand there. Beaumont was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Beaumont! But no joy.
Cerrone moves out of range as Beaumont strikes.
Cerrone ducks under a wild hook from Beaumont.
Cerrone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Beaumont.
Cerrone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cerrone.
Cerrone wants to land a leg kick but Beaumont is out of range.
Cerrone lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Beaumont misses with a jab to the body

and Cerrone counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cerrone.
Beaumont lands a shot to the body.

Cerrone misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cerrone blocking some punches.
Cerrone is leaning against Beaumont and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Cerrone lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Beaumont escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cerrone instigates a clinch.
Cerrone tries a body shot but Beaumont blocks it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Beaumont.
Still in the clinch, Cerrone scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cerrone avoiding damage as Beaumont throws knees to the body.

Cerrone takes an elbow to the forehead.
Cerrone tries a body shot but Beaumont blocks it.
Cerrone goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cerrone fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Cerrone lands a body shot.
Cerrone swings wildly with an uppercut but Beaumont uses good head movement to avoid it.

Beaumont manages to break the clinch.
Beaumont throws a head kick that misses.
Cerrone is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Beaumont swings for the body but Cerrone moves out of range.
Cerrone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beaumont was well out of range. Poor timing from Cerrone.
It seemed like Beaumont was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cerrone is looking to wear down Beaumont with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cerrone swings away with a body shot that misses
and Beaumont counters with an outside leg kick.
Cerrone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beaumont.
Beaumont throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cerrone's head.
A punch combination from Beaumont misses.
Beaumont looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cerrone appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Cerrone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Beaumont slips a jab and a cross from Cerrone.
Beaumont staying out of range there.
Cerrone lands with a straight right. Beaumont didn't see that one coming.
A big right from Cerrone misses.
Cerrone blocks a head kick by Beaumont.
Cerrone looks to land a right hand but Beaumont moved out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cerrone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Beaumont connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Beaumont cracks Cerrone with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cerrone tries to clinch there but Beaumont circles away.
Beaumont bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cerrone's head.
Beaumont throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cerrone misses with a two punch combination.
Cerrone closes the distance but Beaumont moves to the side
and Beaumont makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Beaumont tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cerrone drops his hands momentarily and Beaumont takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Some wild striking there from Cerrone.
Cerrone takes one to the side of the head.
Cerrone stuns Beaumont with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Beaumont looks winded!
Cerrone throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Beaumont cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cerrone misses with a straight right.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beaumont tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cerrone was well out of range. Poor timing from Beaumont.
Beaumont scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Cerrone throws a right hand that Beaumont ducks under and follows up with a left that Beaumont also avoids with ease.
A little jabbing left from Beaumont on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cerrone fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Beaumont has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cerrone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beaumont.
Cerrone tries to counter by clinching up but Beaumont breaks away and moves out of range.
Beaumont checks a low kick from Cerrone.
Beaumont takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cerrone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beaumont.
Cerrone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Beaumont takes one to the chin there.


That has opened up Cavey Beaumont's cut even more.
Cerrone digs a good body shot into Beaumont's ribs.
The crowd cheers as Cerrone lands an impressive looking overhand right. Beaumont doesn't seem phased though.

Cerrone cracks Beaumont with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Beaumont looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cerrone finish him?


Beaumont is rocked!


The cut above Cavey Beaumont's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cerrone shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Beaumont takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Cerrone sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Beaumont bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Cerrone!
David Cerrone spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
