The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan misses with a hook. Petrosyan ducked under it nicely.

Duncan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Duncan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Petrosyan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Duncan tries to close the distance and clinch but Petrosyan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Petrosyan throws an overhand right that lands on Duncan's shoulder, as Duncan tries to avoid the shot.

A telegraphed right hand from Petrosyan misses the target.
It looked like Duncan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Petrosyan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Petrosyan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Duncan counters with a head kick. That will keep Petrosyan thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Duncan will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Petrosyan in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Duncan has Petrosyan pressed against the cage. He pushes Petrosyan back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Duncan throws a beautiful elbow that sends Petrosyan crashing to the floor! Duncan piles on the pressure with more strikes! Petrosyan is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
