Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Master Wong (ranked 1396 p4p, 54 weight class) and Umberto Reem (ranked 1962 p4p, 49 weight class). Reem is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad Reputation. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Master Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Umberto Reem!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wong fails with a takedown attempt.
Reem scores with a jab to the body.

Reem gets a clinch.
Wong blocks an uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Wong.
Reem stalling in the clinch.

Reem swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Wong as Reem tries to tie him up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reem fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reem just leaning against Wong, taking a breather.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Umberto Reem.
Wong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reem pinned against the cage. Reem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Reem tries to move into range but Wong moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reem misses the shot to the body.
Wong has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Reem catches Wong with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Reem lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Reem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Umberto Reem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wong fails with the takedown.

Reem throws a hook but Wong blocks it.
Reem throws a body shot but no joy.
Umberto Reem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wong dives in and grabs Reem's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reem pushes down on Wong's head and hops out.
Wong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reem.
Reem tries to land a front kick but Wong steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Reem stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reem wants it to stay on the feet.
Reem tries to clinch there but Wong circles away.
Wong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reem defends it nicely.

Reem clinches up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Reem tries to work over Wong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Wong has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reem uses from the top position.
Wong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reem is one step ahead there.
Reem has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wong is proving hard to escape from.

Wong is trying to control the position but Reem postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wong is looking to sweep but instead, Reem has passed into half guard.
Wong flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Reem wants to stand up but Wong has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wong manages to get to full guard.
Wong seems keen to control Reem's posture.
Wong is striking from the bottom but Reem uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Wong is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wong misses with a takedown

and Reem holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Reem.
Reem is pushing Wong up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Reem lands a hook that snaps the head of Wong backwards.
Reem has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Reem looking to slow down the pace here.
Reem is stalling here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wong has hold of one of Reem's legs. Reem is fighting the takedown attempt but Wong gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Reem pushes Wong off and gets back to his feet.
Reem misses with a low kick.
Wong is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Wong shoots in looking for a takedown but Reem manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reem lands a glancing blow to the side of Wong's head.
Reem scores with a nice head shot.
Reem misses with a wild body shot.

Wong gets tackled into the cage by Reem. Reem maintains the clinch.
Reem softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Reem goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Reem struggles to land a body shot inside as Wong controls his hands.
Reem has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Wong seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Reem can turn it around.
The referee calls for Reem to work.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Reem lands with a short head shot on the inside.


Wong is rocked!
Reem lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Wong.
Oh Wong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reem pushes Wong against the cage. Reem is working some dirty boxing. Reem pushes off with a quick right hook! Wong goes down! Wong tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Reem moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Umberto Reem!
