The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Veer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rodrigez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Veer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Veer is looking to get back to his feet here but Rodrigez is keeping cool and he's managed to take Veer's back.

Veer defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rodrigez's arms.
Rodrigez not allowing Veer to control his hands.
What can Veer do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Rodrigez is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Veer has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Veer trying to get back to his feet but Rodrigez is in full control for now.

Veer is trying to defend against the choke here but Rodrigez has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Rodrigez Tightens the hold and Veer taps out furiously! Rodrigez displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
