Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Son Goku (ranked 2908 p4p, 351 weight class) and Tucco Llagostera (ranked 3650 p4p, 423 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Goku is predictable there
letting Llagostera counter with a right hand.
Son Goku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Llagostera thumps Goku with a low kick.
Llagostera is looking to slow Goku down with leg kicks.
Goku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Llagostera throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Goku lands with a nice combination. Llagostera backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Tucco Llagostera has been cut.

Llagostera's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Goku connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Llagostera scrambles back to his feet.

Llagostera's coach down at Island Safe Space was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Llagostera's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Llagostera connects with a nasty looking knee right to Goku's face.
Llagostera misses with a knee to the head.

Llagostera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Llagostera feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Goku sprawling to the canvas! Goku rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Llagostera finish him?!

Goku is rocked!
Goku ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Llagostera moves away.
Llagostera lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Goku falls backwards - clearly groggy! Llagostera dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tucco Llagostera!
Tucco Llagostera gave a mention to ZZ POPS in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
