Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desi Kraag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Lashley!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kraag lands with a nice body punch.
Kraag throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lashley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kraag misses with a hook to the body

and Lashley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lashley wants to get up but he can't break Kraag's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kraag is working an open guard so Lashley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kraag misses with a wild body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kraag. Lashley does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kraag gets caught napping as Lashley dives in and scores a takedown. Kraag manages to retain guard.
Lashley landing with the ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kraag has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lashley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lashley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Lashley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kraag. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kraag is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lashley defends well.

Lashley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kraag has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lashley has managed to get both his arms back between Kraag's legs - danger averted.

Kraag has an active guard here but Lashley has managed to pass into half guard.
Kraag has his hands clasped together around Lashley's back. He's all about the action.
Kraag is trying to maintain the position but Lashley is very close to passing his half guard.

Kraag looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Lashley works his way into full mount!
Lashley lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Lashley pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lashley has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kraag's face.
Lashley working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Kraag tries to hold on but Lashley postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kraag regains half guard.
Lashley is trying to control. Kraag wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lashley landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Kraag is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lashley pulls his head out easily.
Kraag wants to control but Lashley is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lashley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kraag keeps working.
Kraag works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kraag seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Kraag is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lashley rolls with it to try and escape but Kraag cranks on the arm and Lashley is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Desi Kraag!
