The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor has taken the fight to the clinch.
Taylor lands a hook to the side of the head.
Taylor pulls Schlimen into guard.
Schlimen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Taylor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schlimen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Taylor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Schlimen defends it easily.
Schlimen passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Schlimen in particular looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor is trying to get back to full guard.

Schlimen passes the guard and advances to mount!

Schlimen is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Taylor is forced to tap! Great finish!
