Samson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Samson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Samson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by McDirk.
McDirk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McDirk misses with a series of wild punches.
Samson closes the distance but McDirk moves to the side
and McDirk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McDirk cracks Samson with an open hand slap.
McDirk cracks Samson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Samson takes one to the side of the head.
Samuel Samson's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Samson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Samson is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and McDirk moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
