Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Halid Magomedov (ranked 7872 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelby Foote (ranked 3525 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shelby Foote!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foote lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Foote moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Magomedov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Foote! But no joy.
Magomedov throws a jab when Foote was well out of range.
Magomedov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Foote connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Magomedov scrambles back to his feet.
Magomedov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Foote looks to land a combination. Magomedov sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Magomedov shoots for a double leg takedown but Foote sprawls well. He's pushed Magomedov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Foote bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Magomedov's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Magomedov tries to clinch up but Foote circles away and keeps his distance.
Magomedov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Foote swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Magomedov closes the distance and clinches up with Foote, looking for a takedown. Magomedov pushes Foote against the cage but Foote circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Halid Magomedov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Foote lands with a hook. Magomedov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Magomedov misses with the combination.
Foote lands with an overhand left.
A left lands for Foote.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Magomedov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Foote to score with a decent uppercut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Foote.
Magomedov ducks right into an uppercut from Foote.
Foote cracks Magomedov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Magomedov wants to clinch
and Foote counters with a nice uppercut.
Foote might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Magomedov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Foote manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice body punch from Foote.
Foote's corner calls for a 1-2. Foote obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice cross by Foote.
Foote blocks the body kick.
Magomedov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Magomedov there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Magomedov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Foote's half guard.

Foote is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Magomedov is tapping! Great win for Foote!
