Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manu Mikkonen (ranked 3229 p4p, 340 weight class) and Dean Malenko (ranked 2940 p4p, 315 weight class). Mikkonen comes to the cage accompanied by When Worlds Collide. Malenko has chosen WCW NITRO ENTRANCE SONG as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikkonen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Dean Malenko has been cut.
Malenko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Malenko misses with a lunging right hand
and Mikkonen counters with a crisp right hand that drops Malenko! Mikkonen lets Malenko back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Malenko is rocked!
Mikkonen lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Manu Mikkonen!
After the fight, Manu Mikkonen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
