Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sage Sabin (ranked 5065 p4p, 500 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 5011 p4p, 495 weight class). Sabin comes into the arena with Supersonic - Oasis blaring out of the sound system. Sage Sabin has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabin throws a jab when Meyer was well out of range.
Meyer wants to counter with a clinch but Sabin pushes him away.
Sabin looks to throw a body kick
and Meyer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Meyer fails to land the takedown.
A combination from Sabin does no damage.
Sabin is looking to score with low kicks.
Sabin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Meyer lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Sabin throws a lazy body kick

and Meyer counters by moving into the clinch.
Meyer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sabin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Meyer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Good leg kick by Meyer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice uppercut lands for Meyer. That snapped Sabin's head back.

Meyer misses with the combination.
Sabin is looking for a counter combo.
Meyer tries to clinch there but Sabin circles away.
Meyer wants to clinch up but Sabin keeps it at a distance.
Sabin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
It seemed like Meyer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Meyer or perhaps it was just good defense by Sabin, which made it look bad.

Meyer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Sloppy strikes from Meyer. Those never looked like landing.

Sabin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Meyer.
A little feinted left hand from Sabin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Meyer feints a jab promting Sabin to slip. Meyer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sabin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sabin appears to be looking for a big counter.
Sabin looks to throw the jab but Meyer is out of range.
Sabin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sabin lands a two punch combo.
Sabin ducks right into an uppercut from Meyer.
Sabin delivers a nice body kick.
Meyer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sage Sabin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sabin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Meyer tries to clinch but Sabin moves out of range.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Meyer throws a sloppy head kick and Sabin moves out of range easily.
Sabin misses with a double jab
and Meyer counters with a two punch combo.

and Meyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Meyer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sabin sprawls well. Sabin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Meyer gets slowly back to his feet.
Meyer scores with the left hand. Sabin knows he should have avoided that one.
No joy there for Sabin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Meyer moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sabin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sabin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meyer.
Meyer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Sabin lands a head shot.
Sabin looks to land a body kick but Meyer moved away.
Meyer doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sabin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sabin leaves Meyer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Meyer counters with a stiff right hand.
Meyer avoids the head kick by Sabin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meyer tries to bum rush Sabin with a series of wild strikes but Sabin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oooooh!!! Meyer has knocked Sabin down with a huge combo! Meyer steps away and waves a wobbly Sabin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Meyer goes for a double leg but Sabin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sabin continues to drive forward.

Sabin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Meyer drops Sabin with a beautiful combination! Sabin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Meyer is looking for the KO!

Oh Sabin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Meyer is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Sabin seems to have got his legs back now.

Sabin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Meyer lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Meyer is trying to pull guard but Sabin has him pressed against the cage.

Meyer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sabin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sabin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sabin looks for the body kick but Meyer saw that one coming.
Sabin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Meyer takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Meyer wants to counter the offense by Sabin and move into the clinch position.
Sabin throws the kick towards the body but Meyer avoids it.
Sage Sabin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sabin. Meyer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Meyer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sabin.
Meyer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sabin counters with a left to the body.
