Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bomb Com (ranked 244 p4p, 42 weight class) and Jack Stone (ranked 147 p4p, 27 weight class). Com comes to the cage accompanied by Bombs Away. Bomb Com has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bomb Com!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stone!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Com moves away from the strike by Stone.
Com connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Stone misses with a straight left.
Com misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stone appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Stone has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Stone misses with an uppercut
letting Com counter with a right hand.
Com walks into a jab.
Com looks to land a right hand but Stone moved out of range.
Stone looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone throws a good cross that connects.
Com throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Stone! But no joy.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Com.
Com throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Com looks for the body kick but Stone saw that one coming.
Jack Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Com misses with an uppercut. Stone saw that one coming.
Stone looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Com dips to his left and cracks Stone with an uppercut!
Com lets loose with a powerful body kick. Stone will feel that in the morning.
We've been hearing reports that Com has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Com connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stone. Stone circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Stone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Com was well out of range. Poor timing from Stone.
Com throws a jab when Stone was well out of range.
Stone slips a jab and a cross from Com.
Com backing away here, and Stone unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Stone's jab looks to have found its range, popping Com under the eye.

Com misses with a hook. Stone ducked under it nicely.

Com has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stone.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone throws a right hand that Com ducks under and follows up with a left that Com also avoids with ease.

Stone misses with an uppercut. Com saw that one coming.
Com is looking to counter punch.
Stone tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Stone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Stone pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stone with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Com to score with a decent uppercut.
Com misses with a hook to the body
and Stone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Com jabs Stone right on the nose. Stone blinks but takes it well.
Stone cracks the inside of Com's front leg.
Com throws an off balance right hand
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
Com cracks Stone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Stone checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bomb Com seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Com works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stone lands a nice looking body shot.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A swing and a miss from Com.
Stone follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Stone throws a front kick that sends Com stumbling back into the cage.
Com misses with a right hand
letting Stone counter with a right hand.
Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Com.
Stone connects with a right hand. Com shakes it off.
Stone is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Com had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
A jab from Com does it's job there.
Stone needs to keep his hands up - Com had a free shot at his head there.
A low kick from Com is predictable there
enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab.
Com throws a jab but it's blocked by Stone.
It seemed like Stone was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bomb Com will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stone has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stone there as he acknowledges the shot.
Stone lands the left hand.
Stone misses with an attempted mid kick.
Stone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Com counters with an inside leg kick.
Stone has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Stone scores with a spinning back kick!
Com loads up on a big right hand but Stone slips the punch.
Com backing away here, and Stone unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Stone ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bomb Com is winning the standup battle so far.
A punch lands to the side of Stone 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Com ducks right into an uppercut from Stone.
Com shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Com keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Com throws a one two combo.
Com misses with a right hand
and Stone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Com staying out of range there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stone misses the jab.
Com works Stone's body with a nice hook.
Com staying out of range there.
It looked like Com was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Stone misses with a hook. Com ducked under it nicely.
Stone throws a body kick that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Com on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stone enables Com to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone is pulling down on Com's head. It's preventing any offense from Com, at least for the moment.
Com throws a big elbow that misses.
Com tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.

Stone seems keen to control Com's posture.
Stone is continuing to stall.
Stone's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Stone is trying to control the position but Com postures up.
Stone wants to get back to his feet but Com passes into half guard.
Stone is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Com wants to take a breather but Stone is having none of it.
Stone tries to roll over but Com keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are battling for position here. Stone manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Com chips away with some ground and pound.
Stone pulls Com in to control the position.
Com trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
Com postures up.
Com wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position.
Stone pulls Com in close to his closed guard and prevents Com from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Com throws a lazy uppercut
and Stone counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Com shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Com keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stone looks like he wants to counter punch here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bomb Com will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A little jabbing left from Stone on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Nice uppercut lands for Stone. That snapped Com's head back.

Stone throws out a counter right but Com avoids it with no problem.
Com jabs Stone to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Stone misses with an attempted mid kick.
Com throws a counter high kick but Stone was just alert enough to avoid it.
A swing and a miss from Com.
Stone is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Com with a body shot.
Com misses with a leg kick
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Com throws out the jab.
Stone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Com shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Com was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stone bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Stone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Com blocks a low kick nicely.
Stone misses the body punch
and Com cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stone wants to land a leg kick but Com is out of range.
Stone slips under a jab from Com.
Com is looking to chop away at Stone's legs.
Com lands with an overhand left.

Com throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
Stone moves out of range of the strikes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Stone! But no joy.
Com ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Com cracks Stone with a right hand to the side of the head.
Com uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Com misses with an uppercut. Stone saw that one coming.
Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Com.
Com walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stone.
Com throws a right and a left that Stone avoids nicely.
Stone thinks about the counter body kick.

A clash of legs there as Stone blocks the low kick.
Nice jab there from Com.
Com lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Com connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stone's hands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Com throws an overhand right that lands on Stone's shoulder, as Stone tries to avoid the shot.

and Com takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bomb Com showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Com has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bomb Com decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
