PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stasius Venom (ranked 1287 p4p, 169 weight class) and David C. Marvin (ranked 1569 p4p, 198 weight class). Marvin has chosen Superman Theme as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marvin is out of range.
Venom keeps the fight on the outside.
Venom throws a shot to the body.
We've been told by Venom's head coaches at Damage Inc. that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Marvin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Venom takes a step back to recover.
Marvin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Venom on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Marvin shoots in looking for a takedown but Venom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marvin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Venom tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Marvin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Venom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Marvin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Venom scores with a head kick. Marvin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Venom closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Marvin out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Stasius Venom decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
