Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Skeng Man (ranked 1379 p4p, 195 weight class) and Azamat Secoy (ranked 832 p4p, 119 weight class). Azamat Secoy has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Azamat Secoy!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man shoots in for a takedown but Secoy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Man shoots for a takedown but Secoy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Man goes for a double leg but Secoy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Secoy continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skeng Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice uppercut lands for Secoy. That snapped Man's head back.
Secoy scores with a jab to the body.

Man changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Secoy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Man has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Secoy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Man avoids the attempt from Secoy to control.
Secoy is in all sorts of trouble here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Man is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Secoy has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Man has control of Secoy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Secoy regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Man goes for an armbar but Secoy turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Secoy.

Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Secoy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Secoy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Secoy wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.

Man bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Man accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Man is pushing down on Secoy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Secoy is fighting to maintain full guard but Man has managed to sneak the leg through.
Man thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Secoy's head.

Man is working for a submission of some sort.
Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Man looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man prevents Secoy from improving his position.
Secoy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Man is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Secoy is pressing down on Man's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Man makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Secoy is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Some bone on bone action there as Man checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Man closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Man lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Man throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Man drops an elbow to the side of Secoy's head.

Man is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Man uses his free foot to push down on Secoy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Secoy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Skeng Man overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Man breaks from Secoy's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Man is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Secoy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Secoy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Man is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Secoy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Man is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Secoy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Man will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Man has his foot on Secoy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Secoy works his way back into a safe position though.

Secoy has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Man to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Secoy is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Man pulls down on the head and he's put Secoy to sleep! This one is all over!
