Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitaly Karelin (ranked 274 p4p, 11 weight class) and Jari Mountain (ranked 148 p4p, 7 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

31 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jari Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin misses with a shot to the body
and Mountain counters with a nice leg kick.
Karelin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mountain moves away.
Karelin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Vitaly Karelin has been cut.
Karelin misses with an uppercut. Mountain saw that one coming.
Karelin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Karelin throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Mountain struggling a bit here.
Karelin lands an elbow.
Karelin throws a strike aimed at the side of Mountain's head but Mountain avoids it well.
Mountain tries to buck Karelin off but Karelin is having none of it.
Mountain defending against the ground and pound.

Mountain tries to improve position but can't.
Mountain dodges the ground and pound from Karelin.
Check out the look on Karelin's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mountain is working to avoid the ground and pound but Karelin connects with a decent elbow.
Mountain takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Karelin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mountain is avoiding damage well.
Karelin tries to score with some ground and pound. Mountain controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Karelin throws an elbow but Mountain slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ground and pound from Karelin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mountain wants to control but Karelin is having none of it.
Karelin postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Mountain out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Karelin goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
