Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davos Kung (ranked 22423 p4p, 726 weight class) and Vincento Vega (ranked 6839 p4p, 590 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davos Kung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincento Vega!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vega closes the distance and clinches.
Kung wants to get back to striking at distance but Vega won't allow it.
Kung tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vega is looking for a takedown.
Kung changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vega fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Vincento Vega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kung shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vega sprawls well. Vega wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kung gets slowly back to his feet.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kung takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Vega manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Vega bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kung's guard.

Vega tries to stand but Kung is controlling from the bottom.
Kung is looking to sweep but instead, Vega has passed into half guard.

Vega is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Vega stands up out of the half guard.
Kung shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Vega has Kung pressed against the cage, preventing Kung from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Kung is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vega is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kung to the mat. Kung regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Vega tries to stand but Kung is controlling from the bottom.

Kung throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vega escapes and throws Kung's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kung is trying to buck Vega off.

Vega has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Vincento Vega is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kung shoots for a takedown but Vega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vega lands with a nice body punch.

Vega rushes Kung and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Vega manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kung wants to control from the top but Vega keeps moving.

Vega is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Vega works over Kung's head and body with a nice combination.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vega, as that shot connected.
Vega connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vega instigates a clinch.
Kung looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Vega is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kung to keep the fight standing.

Vega jumps guard and drags Kung to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vega can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vega has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kung off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kung chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vega can pounce on him.

Vega is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kung is trying to pull guard but Vega turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Vega decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kung, up you get!
Vega has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Vega stalks Kung and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kung's face. Kung staggers backwards, shaken.
Vega connects with a solid leg kick.

Vega's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kung under the eye.

Vega has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kung uses from the top position.

Vega ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vega no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Vega manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vega is on top in guard.

Davos Kung has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Vincento Vega comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vega has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
