The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caugh rushes Thomas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Caugh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A left lands for Caugh.
Caugh throws a body punch but Thomas moves out of range.

Caugh takes the fight into the clinch.
Thomas tries to pull guard but Caugh won't allow it.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thomas has closed the distance and engaged Caugh in a clinch.

Caugh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Caugh rushes Thomas and presses him up against the cage.

Caugh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Caugh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Thomas looking to throw knees to the head but Caugh is blocking nicely.
Thomas jumps guard but Caugh turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Caugh lands a left hand.

Caugh throws a knee to the head but misses.

Caugh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Caugh darts in and clinches Thomas up against the cage.

Caugh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Thomas tries to keep at a distance but Caugh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Caugh drops Thomas onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Thomas is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Caugh dips a shoulder and cracks Thomas with a mighty uppercut! Thomas falls back against the cage and Caugh unloads with a barrage of strikes! Thomas is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Caugh screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
