Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Orion Soulburn (ranked 2210 p4p, 263 weight class) and Weimin Liaw (ranked 4428 p4p, 473 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liaw throws a jab when Soulburn was well out of range.
Soulburn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Soulburn misses with a jab to the body
and Liaw counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Soulburn closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Soulburn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Liaw scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Soulburn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed right hand from Soulburn misses the target.
Soulburn digs a good hook to Liaw's body.
Soulburn gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Liaw tests Soulburn's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Soulburn counters with a nice uppercut.
Orion Soulburn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soulburn throws a jab but it's blocked by Liaw.
Liaw displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Soulburn throws out the jab.

Liaw thows a leg kick but Soulburn checks it
and Liaw takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Soulburn jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Soulburn lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Soulburn fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Liaw on the side of the head.
Liaw uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Soulburn.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soulburn stalks Liaw and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Liaw's face. Liaw staggers backwards, shaken.
Liaw is rocked!

Liaw throws a jab but it's blocked by Soulburn.
Soulburn swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Soulburn misses with an uppercut. Liaw saw that one coming.
Soulburn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Liaw slips under a jab.
Soulburn staying out of range there.
Liaw misses with a left hand
and Soulburn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Soulburn moves out of range of the strikes.
Soulburn scores with a jab to the head.
Oooooh!!! Soulburn has knocked Liaw down with a huge combo! Soulburn steps away and waves a wobbly Liaw back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Liaw is still on wobbly legs! Can Soulburn finish him?
Liaw misses with a body shot.
A counter left hand to the body from Soulburn misses its target.
Liaw takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Soulburn finds Liaw's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Liaw flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Soulburn lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Liaw will be OK.
