Douglas comes to the cage accompanied by Bob Marley - Three Little Birds. Samuel Douglas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brent Boston!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas tries a head kick but it misses.
Boston is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Douglas moves into range and connects with a jab.

enabling Boston to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Brent Boston has been cut.
Boston takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Boston missing with a left hand there. Douglas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Douglas is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Douglas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boston closes the distance and clinches up with Douglas, looking for a takedown. Boston pushes Douglas against the cage but Douglas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Douglas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

and Boston counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Boston is pushing down on Douglas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Douglas is fighting to maintain full guard but Boston has managed to sneak the leg through.

Boston lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Douglas! More strikes land and this one is all over! Boston jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Brent Boston really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Venom Combat Sports logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Samuel Douglas spoke after the fight, saying 'Shout out to my Dad, Dustin Douglas. I'm sorry I let you down tonight, but I'll be back.'.
