Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Piano (ranked 1011 p4p, 117 weight class) and Gyukosho Fujimoto (ranked 1991 p4p, 231 weight class). Piano comes to the cage accompanied by Rick going ham on a bitch. Rick Piano could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gyukosho Fujimoto's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujimoto with a hook.
Fujimoto has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Piano is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Piano throws the kick towards the body but Fujimoto avoids it.
Fujimoto lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fujimoto throws a good cross that connects.
Fujimoto chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Piano misses with a hook to the body
and Fujimoto counters with a straight right hand.
Fujimoto misses with a looping left.
Piano looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A little jabbing left from Fujimoto on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Piano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fujimoto moves in looking to clinch but Piano pushes him off.
Piano is looking to counter punch.
Piano avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A jab from Piano finds it's way through Fujimoto's defenses.
Piano is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fujimoto.
Fujimoto wants to counter the offense by Piano and move into the clinch position.
Fujimoto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Piano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fujimoto lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Piano misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fujimoto misses with a hook from the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Fujimoto fails to land.

Fujimoto stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Piano doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Piano blocking some punches.
Piano lands a body punch.
Piano looking to stall.
Fujimoto lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Piano blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Piano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Piano scores with a jab.
Fujimoto works the jab nicely.
Piano cracks a nice hook into Fujimoto's ribs.
Fujimoto uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Piano has time to react.
Gyukosho Fujimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fujimoto moves out of range as Piano throws a body kick.
Good exchange - Piano coming out on top.

Piano moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Fujimoto misses with a kick to the body.

and Piano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A shot to the body from Piano misses
and Fujimoto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A swing and a miss from Fujimoto.
Piano takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fujimoto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Piano moves out of range of the body kick from Fujimoto.
Piano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fujimoto.

Piano cracks Fujimoto with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Piano has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fujimoto to stand back up!

It looks like Gyukosho Fujimoto has been cut.

Fujimoto tries to clinch there but Piano circles away.
Piano gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fujimoto.
Piano connects with a body shot.
Piano is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Fujimoto flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fujimoto is out cold! Piano holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
