Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rei Spears (ranked 4262 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Bumpdum (ranked 4405 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spears wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bumpdum.
Spears slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Fabricio Bumpdum has been cut.
Spears thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bumpdum appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

That has opened up Fabricio Bumpdum's cut even more.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bumpdum takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Spears knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bumpdum on the ground.
It looks like Bumpdum might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Spears fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bumpdum manages to avoid it.

Bumpdum swings for the body but Spears moves out of range.
Spears was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bumpdum takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
